Four-in-Hand Knot

Four in Hand Knot This is the most popular knot. It is probably the easiest to learn knot. This knot is along straight knot but is lopsided slightly. It is best suitable for wide ties of heavy fabrics. It looks good mostly on men with short necks.

Stand in front of a mirror and follow the steps:

  • Start with a wide end from the right side and then extend it below about the narrow end of the tie.

  • Take the wide end, from the right side to the left side, over the narrow end.

  • Take the wide end from the left side, under the narrow end on the right side.

  • Now again, from right to the left, bring the wide end over the narrow end.

  • Now, from the backside of the loop bring the wide end.

  • Keep your index finger on the front of the knot. With the loose knot pass the wide end down into the loop and bring it in front.

  • Now, make the knot tight.

  • And now, the knot is ready. You just need to slide it to the collar.

You can practice these knots and make your shirts look more attractive with these knots. These knots also look good on hockey neck tie, sports neck tie, college neck tie, and other neck ties.
